Intersection closure, water shutoff on Monday
Water shutoffs will impact residents surrounding the intersection of June Street and Campbell Street in Alpena on Monday, the city announced on Friday.
Workers will close the intersection to all traffic to replace water valves beginning Monday morning. The work is expected to last one day.
Nearby homes, including along Campbell, Ripley, June, and Baldwin streets, will lose water approximately 6:30 a.m. until noon during the valve replacement.
After the shutoff, residents should not consume water or use it for cleaning until tap water runs clear, the city said.
