ALPENA — One person went to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Lockwood Street in Alpena on Thursday.

Police say a blue GMC headed north on Lockwood crashed into a maroon pickup crossing the intersection on 3rd around 11 a.m. Thursday.

The GMC’s driver, who was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, will be cited in the crash, police said.

Alpena Police Department officers routed traffic around the scene, which tow truck drivers cleared soon after the crash.
