Alpena’s utility contractor, SUEZ Water Environmental Services Inc., which operates the sewer and water systems and plants has merged with and into Veolia Environment S.A., the City of Alpena announced Thursday in a press release.

The two companies are currently undergoing the rebranding process and the new logo now appears on the City website and the email addresses have been updated.

Residents will continue to receive the high level of service that they’ve come to expect from the same personnel familiar with the Alpena area, the press release says.
