The Alpena Fire Department was dispatched to Decorative Panels International on Ford Avenue in Alpena shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
In a press release, the department said a fire broke out in the cooker tower and plant employees were unable to bring the fire under control and requested assistance.
Upon arrival, firefighters found burning material on more than one level of the tower and deployed firefighters into the facility, while others operated the aerial unit to contain the blaze.
