The skies over Northeast Michigan will be busy for about the next week, as pilots practice their aerial maneuverability abilities in their military aircrafts.

The first annual Air National Guard Readiness Exercise Program event called Agile Rage 22 began Saturday and will continue until June 18.

This exercise is hosted by the CRTC, as part of the National All-Domain Warfighting Center in Northern Michigan.

Agile Rage focuses on Air National Guard training priorities and future warfighting concepts. Most notably, Agile Rage brings to the forefront agile combat employment capabilities and tests airmen in an austere combat environment.

Air National Guard aircraft scheduled to participate in Agile Rage 22 include the A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-130J Hercules, and the MQ-9 Reaper. Additionally, elements from special tactics, tactical air control parties, tactical air control squadron, combat communications units, and various other supporting elements round-out the fighting force.
