Alpena County Sheriff Steven Kieliszewski honored two employees of the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, bestowing the title of Officer of the Year for 2021 on Sgt. Michael Jones and that of Corrections Officer of the Year on Corp. Ryan Wilson.
Employed with the sheriff’s office since 2015, Jones has investigated 181 complaints, 141 of which resulted in arrests, according to Kieliszewski, who praised Jones’s tenacity and communication skills.
Wilson, noted by his peers for his leadership ability and willingness to help others, consistently displays a positive attitude and strong work practices, Kieliszewski said.
