The Wildcats hosted Garden City on Friday for games ahead of its Wildcat Invitational Saturday. The two teams met in the Division 1 state final in 2008 and have played each other for many years on the eve of Alpena’s annual tournament. The Wildcats will host Grand Blanc, Clarkston and Garden City today in tournament action and each team will play three games. At press time, results from Friday’s contests were not available.
