Marine sanctuary visitor center to reopen

ALPENA — Residents will soon once again meander through the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
After two years of closed doors because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the visitor center will reopen at 10 a.m. on April 21, sanctuary officials announced today.
Through May 4, the heritage center will be open Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with summer hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week beginning May 5.
