ALPENA -- A text sent to parents of Thunder Bay Junior High School from Alpena Public Schools today is legitimate, APS Director of Communications Lee Fitzpatrick said.
The message, which invites recipients to type "Y" to confirm they received it, will help the school share information with school families, Fitzpatrick said.
The district will expand its rollout of the text communication effort and share more information with parents soon, he said.
