Courtesy Photos Alpena’s Competitive AAU Gymnastics team successfully competed in the High Flyers St. Patrick’s Day Meet in Howell, Michigan on March 20. The Xcel Gold Team took first place in its division. The team consisted of Cece Weaver, Ezra Peterson, Callie Brousseau, Lola Halleck, Alliyah Hagemeister, Savanna Spangle, Erika Johnson, and Lindsay Donajkowski. The Xcel Silver and Platinum teams took third place. The Silver team consisted of Libby Misiak, Abby Reinhardt, Clare LaCross, Cailyn Burrone. The Platinum team consisted of Paige Samp, Grace Samp, and Faith Dragiewicz. These young ladies will be competing next in Alpena for the district championship on Saturday, April 30th at the APlex. Competition begins at 10 a.m. and will run all day.
