ALPENA -- Alpena Public Schools is reminding people that students who depend on school lunch programs have alternative means to receive free food assistance.
In a press release, the school system recommends the following options for students and their families who need help acquiring food.
∫ The Friendship Room at St. Bernard's (989) 354-8018 Monday to Friday 4-5:30 p.m. and Saturday 2:30-4 p.m.
∫ Boys and Girls Club of Alpena, age 19 and under, (989) 356 0214, Monday to Friday 12-6 p.m. lunch at noon., Snack, and Supper 4:30 p.m.
∫ The Salvation Army Food and Hygiene Pantry, Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, (989) 358-2769
∫ St. Vincent de Paul, 354-3671 Drive-up food support Tuesday and Thursday at 12-2:30 p.m.
∫ Beaver Lake Church food pantry , by appointment, 989-379-4123
