Local governments receive marijuana tax funds

The State of Michigan announced its annual allocations to local governments from the adult-use marijuana tax.

Local governments who allow recreational marijuana shops to operate will receive $56,453 per business. In Northeast Michigan, Presque Isle County will receive $112,906 for the two dispensaries that are in Onaway and Rogers Township. Onaway and Rogers Township will each receive $56,453.

Alcona County and Harrisville will receive the same amount.
