The fundraising kickoff for the Alpena fireworks display on the Fourth of July has been delayed a second time.
The event was originally slated for last week, but organizers were forced to cancel it due to inclement weather. The rescheduled event today is also now canceled as poor weather is now predicted. The new fundraising date is now April 8 from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. The goal for this year is $23,000 and people can make a $5 donation and receive a red,white, and blue wristband.
