Montmorency County Inmates lodged in Alpena Jail: 8

Jan. 31

12:19 a.m.: Deputies responded to a call of a horse running down M-32 near Ulshaffer Rd. The horse was located and the owner of the horse was given a citation for animal at large.

Feb. 1

7:21 p.m.: Deputies responded to a call of a possible drunk driver on M-33; officers intercepted the driver in Briley Township. The 42 year-old-male subject was arrested for OWI and transported to Alpena County Jail where he was lodged.

Feb. 2

6:45 p.m.: A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; an officer responded and took the report.

Feb. 3

11:36 a.m.: A business owner in the Village of Hillman called to request an officer at his place of business for a suspicious person. A deputy responded, spoke with the individual and advised him to leave the parking lot of the business.

4:19 p.m.: A neighbor called to report her neighbors’ smoke alarms were going off; she went to the residence but no one would answer the door. Hillman Fire Department responded to the scene. The homeowner was cooking and her stove was smoking which set off the alarms.

6 p.m.: Tri Fire units responded to a fire in Avery Township, upon arrival it was found to be a contained fire.

Feb. 5

1:53 p.m.: A two vehicle crash was reported in Avery Township; MCSO deputies responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.

Feb. 6

10:47 p.m.: Deputies along with Tri Township EMS responded to a dispute at a local business in Briley Township; parties were separated.

1:48 a.m.: Deputies along with Hillman Fire & EMS responded to a single vehicle rollover in Hillman Township; an 18-year-old male was transported to Alpena hospital to be treated for his injuries.

6:14 p.m.: A report of a vehicle deer accident in Hillman Township came into the dispatch center; the party involved was uninjured. A MCSO deputy took the report.

7:29 p.m.: A 52-year-old -male was picked up in Oscoda County on a Montmorency County Warrant; the subject was taken to Alpena County Jail where he was lodged.
