Extremely cold weather is forecasted for Northeast Michigan from Friday night until Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop sharply Friday night and plumet to as much as -18 degrees below zero. The Arctic air is expected to remain in the Alpena area Saturday as temperatures are predicted to hover around zero or lower depending on the wind speed.
Sunday will only see a high temperature of 12 degrees before temperatures begin to climb next week.
