ALPENA ­– Alpena High School has been chosen to host the first girls basketball District 1 Michigan High School Athletic Association State Playoff game between Alpena High and Gaylord High School.

The game is scheduled for Feb. 28 in the gym at Alpena High. Tickets are $7 at the door. The winners from the game will go on to Marquette on March 2.

The school asks the community to come support the varsity Lady Wildcats by wearing green and white to the game.
