ROGERS CITY ― Rogers City Theater Manager Daniel Bielas and Amber Alexander, Presque Isle District Library director, strike a Roaring 20s pose at a Great Gatsby-themed fundraiser event at the theater on Friday. A small but enthusiastic group in their best attire nibbled hors d’oeuvres, sipped champagne, and watched the classic tale of greed and romance on the big screen to usher in the new year in style. Upcoming suggested-donation free screenings of film noir classics at the theater will continue to fund improvements to the building’s aesthetically pleasing but crumbling exterior brick wall. “You love the wall until it’s on you,” Bielas said.
