Some residents still without power on Sunday

Days after thousands of Northeast Michiganders lost power during and after a Thursday wind storm, most residents could turn on their lights by Sunday evening.
By 7 p.m., Consumers Energy crew members had restored service to all but 37 Alcona County and 2 Montmorency County customers, down from about 1,500 total earlier in the afternoon and 7,400 on Friday, according to the company's outage map.
About 375 Northeast Michigan Presque Isle Electric and Gas customers remained without power at 7:30 p.m., including 64 in Alpena County, 45 in Presque Isle County, 180 in Montmorency County, and 84 in Alcona County, according to the company's outage map.
On Thursday, the company reported 5,800 Alpena-area outages.
Winds broke 36 poles in the company's service area, it reported Sunday night, by which time its crews had replaced 25.
