LINCOLN -- Consumers Energy customers who lost power during Thursday's wind storm may pick up a free pepperoni pizza at Backwoods Bistro in Lincoln between 4 and 7 p.m. Friday, the company announced Friday afternoon.
The company offered pizza to customers in its hardest-hit areas to thank them for their patience and help them weather the outage, Consumers representative Terry DeDoes said.
Thousands of Northeast Michigan residents lost power as the area experienced wind gusts up to 62 miles per hour on Thursday morning and strong winds throughout the day, toppling trees and knocking down power poles.
