Hunters have one last month to get their hands on Pure Michigan Hunt applications before the January drawing, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources reminded residents on Wednesday.

The $5 applications make great stocking stuffers, the DNR suggested.

Winners of the annual January drawing take home a prize package worth thousands of dollars and licenses for elk, bear, turkey, and antlerless deer. Application fees fund Michigan's wildlife habitat restoration and management.

Residents can apply as many times as they'd like and can designate applications as gifts. Visit Michigan.gov/PMH for more information.

Starting at /week.
