Local fire departments were called to the scene of a barn fire on Wolf Creek Road in Herron Wednesday evening.

Local fire departments including those from Wilson Township, Green Township, and Hubbard Lake responded to a barn fire in Herron on Wolf Creek Road on Wednesday evening. On the scene, Lt. Larry Krueger of the Wilson Township Fire Department said all the horses that were in the barn were safe and had been evacuated. At press time, officials hadn't yet determined the cause of the fire.
