ALPENA — The Board of Education of Alpena Public Schools has completed its evaluation of Superintendent Dave Rabbideau.
The board reported that Rabbideau’s performance during 2021 was "Effective" or better in each of the thirty-four areas with several areas being rated higher than effective.
Rabbideau's performance was evaluated using a rubric based on the requirements of the Revised School Code of the State of Michigan.
The rubric scores included evaluating student progress based on state assessments, as well as district progress towards goals.
The board acknowledged that COVID-19 has had an impact on learning.
"However, student growth is lacking and will need to be improved," the board said in a press release on Tuesday.
