ALPENA -- Crouched under widespread branches, workers adjusted the stand of Alpena's 2021 Christmas tree in Alpena's Culligan Plaza this morning. The workers wedged shims alongside the tree's trunk after a supervisor noted it listed slightly and appeared crooked to drivers stopped nearby on Chisholm Street. City workers cut the 35-foot-tall, 19-foot-wide tree from Frank Detloff's 5th Avenue property on Friday.
