Montmorency County Inmates lodged in Alpena Jail: 8

Nov. 22

12:16 a.m.: A Deputy responded to a slide off in Hillman Township; the driver was not injured; a local tow company came and assisted the motorist out of the ditch.

Nov. 23

12:04 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a deer hunter camping in Albert Township; deputies responded and found the subject to be fine.

6:53 p.m.: A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Albert Township; the party involved was not injured. Dispatch and an officer took the report.

9:59 p.m.: Deputies responded to a complaint of two men shooting guns in the driveway at a residence in Briley Township. The investigation is ongoing.

Nov. 24

4:11 a.m.: A vehicle/deer was reported in Albert Township on county road 491; the party involved was not injured. Dispatch and an officer took the report.

8:37 a.m.: A welfare check was requested on a Briley Township resident; a deputy responded and found the subject to be fine.

6:15 p.m.: A Deputy responded and took the report for a deer/vehicle accident on M-32 in Hillman Township; the driver was not injured and the officer cleared without incident.

Nov. 25

6:29 p.m.: A call came into the center referencing a scam call from an Albert Township resident; the caller was advised to block the phone number from the scammer and to not give out any personal or banking information over the phone. Around the holidays scam calls come in more frequently, be vigilant. If someone is contacting you stating that you are being charged for crimes and requesting money from you it is most likely a scam.

11:12 p.m.: Deputies responded to a vehicle parked on the side of the road on M-32 in Briley Township; upon the Deputy’s arrival, they discovered it was abandoned and determined it as a road hazard; the vehicle was towed. Officers cleared without incident.

Nov. 26

7:22 p.m.: Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Briley Township, the parties involved were separated; deputies cleared without incident.

9:04 p.m.: A single vehicle accident was reported in Albert Township. MCSO deputies, Albert Township Fire & EMS all responded to the scene. No injuries were reported; all units cleared without incident.

Nov. 27

12 a.m.: A vehicle was reported in the ditch in Loud Township. MCSO deputies responded to the scene. A male subject was arrested for OWI and taken to Alpena County Jail where he was lodged.

Nov. 28

2:33 a.m.: Deputies responded to a domestic assault in Briley Township. Before the deputies arrived on scene, one of the subjects involved had dispersed. The investigation is ongoing.

3:27 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in Albert Township: home was found to be secure.
