ALPENA -- Air Force veteran Steve Bile this morning watches demolition of his unstable existing front porch that is connected to his wheelchair ramp on Dawson Street in Alpena. Workers will build Bile a new porch, thanks to a partnership between the Home Depot Foundation and Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan. Local volunteers from both organizations will donate their time.
