ALPENA — A two-vehicle crash sent two drivers to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon in Alpena Township.

The driver of an orange car failed to yield when she pulled out of a business parking lot near the intersection of U.S.-23 North and Golf Course Road, according to police.

The car struck another vehicle traveling southbound on the highway, sending it spinning back northward, police said. The struck vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility pole at U.S.-23 and Henry Road. Airbags in both vehicles deployed.

Responders transported both drivers to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena with minor injuries.
