Alpena police and fire departments responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a bike on Wednesday. The man riding the bike was transported to the hospital.

ALPENA — A vehicle struck a man riding a bicycle across Chisholm Street on Wednesday.
Paramedics transported the bicyclist to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The Alpena Police Department and Michigan State Police reduced traffic to one lane at the busy intersection at Chisholm Street and 3rd Avenue, while paramedics from the Alpena Fire Department treated the man and transported him to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena.
The man was conscious and alert while first responders treated him.
