ALPENA — In an effort to find a missing Alpena teenager, her father has increased the amount of a reward offered to anyone who has verifiable information that could help find her.

During a press conference at the APlex on Thursday, Duane Bills said he’s raised the reward from $10,000 to $20,000 for any verifiable information that helps bring his daughter, Brynn Bills, home.

Brynn Bills was last seen Aug. 1 in Alpena. She is described as a white woman with blonde hair and blue eyes and about 5-foot, 2-inches tall.

The family also established a GoFundMe fundraising effort online, trying to raise $10,000 for resources to help in the search, including billboard rentals, missing person posters, private investigators, and canine searches.

Police said earlier this month they continue to pursue leads and consider the case an active missing person investigation. They refused to comment further because of the ongoing investigation.

As of Thursday afternoon, $1,320 has been raised on the online fundraising cause.
