ALPENA — A jury on Thursday found former Alpena Public Schools teacher Heather Winfield not guilty on most charges related to accusations she sexually assaulted a former student, finding her guilty on one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
She faces up to four years in prison and 25 years on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.
