ALPENA ― A motor home and a fuel transport truck littered the roadside after a collision at the intersection of Long Lake Road and U.S.-23 North shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday. Paramedics took drivers of both vehicles to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The fuel truck was southbound on U.S.-23 North when the motor home, headed north on the same road, turned left on Long Lake Road and into its path, police said. The weight of the truck pushed the motor home off the road, causing heavy damage. No fuel leaked from the transport truck, police said.
