Aug. 2

3:43 a.m: Deputies responded to a residential burglary alarm in Loud Township; home was found to be secure. Officers cleared without incident.

10:28 p.m: Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Briley Township. A 40-year-old male subject was arrested, and transported to Alpena County Jail where he was lodged.

Aug. 4

10:18 p.m: While on routine patrol a Deputy initiated a traffic stop in Hillman Township. The driver was found to be driving without insurance and was cited for this as well as careless driving. Deputy cleared without incident.

Aug. 5

6:58 p.m: A call came into dispatch that a subject and her husband were lost in Montmorency Township while attempting to go elk viewing; dispatch helped guide them back to M-33 North.

10:23 p.m: Deputies responded to a boat incident in Albert Township; the driver of the boat had struck another boat that was docked. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for OWI while boating and lodged in Alpena County Jail. Officers cleared without incident.

Aug. 6

2:14 a.m: A Deputy responded to an incident in Hillman Village at Emerick Park; investigation is ongoing.

6:15 p.m: A stolen street sign in Briley Township was reported to dispatch; the Road Commission was advised.

8:54 p.m: A call came into the dispatch center to report a deer vehicle accident on Pleasant Valley Rd. in Hillman Township; the party involved was not injured. Dispatch and an officer took the report.

Aug. 7

5:53 p.m: A call came into dispatch requesting a deputy to pick up a stray dog in Albert Township. The dog was taken to Elk Country Animal Shelter.

Aug. 8

1:52 a.m: Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Briley Township; it was a verbal dispute, parties were separated for the night. Deputies cleared without incident.

6:58 p.m: A request for a welfare check on a Briley Township resident came in to dispatch; the subject was found to be fine.

8:21 p.m: A dog was found in Briley Township on M-32 and brought into MCSO. The dog was taken to Elk County Animal Shelter.

9:12 p.m: A resident of Hillman Township had a boat float up to her property; The owner was found and notified.
