The Alpena police and fire departments responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of Second Avenue and River Street shortly before 10 a.m. on Thursday.

Nobody was injured in the wreck, but the impact from the collision was hard enough to set off the drivers-side airbag in the SUV that was involved.

According to an eyewitness who was sitting outside Cabin Creek Coffee, the man driving the SUV was passing through a green light on Second Avenue, when the second car ran a red light causing the crash.
