LINCOLN -- A dog loose in a vehicle caused a Lincoln man to crash into a veterinarian clinic in Lincoln on Wednesday, police reported.
Loren Beard, 82, told police his dog jumped onto the floorboard, entangling his feet while he drove in the business's parking lot. Panicked, Beard pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and crashed into the clinic, causing extensive damage to the lobby and one exam room, according to the Alcona County Sheriff's Office.
One employee in the building -- which was closed at the time -- escaped injury. Medical personnel treated Beard for minor injuries at the scene.
