The Teeing Up for Kids Golf Outing sponsored by Brush Creek Mill and held at Thunder Bay Golf Resort in Hillman on July 11 raised over $12,000.

The funds raised will be used to support activities and grants for the children of Montmorency County.

Winning teams included a tie for men’s team, with one team made up of Jim Kennard, Dan Kennard, Ed LaFramboise, Dan Kangas, and the other team made up of Luke McMurray, Don McMurray, Ernie Orm, and Stan Herrick. The winning women’s team was made up of Susan Stacey, Judie Meltzer, Debbie Dirmeyer, and Dee Cohoon. The winning mixed team was made up of Fred Reed, Dianne Reed, Chuck Runyan, and Tim Reed. And the winning couples team was made up of Joan Roals, Phil Roals, Bill Battenfield and Diane Battenfield.
