With the Red Brick Tap and Barrel’s Fourth of July Party in the Park happening in the background at the former Alpena News property on River Street, News Publisher/Editor Justin Hinkley, second from left, on Sunday hands the key to a storage building on the property to Red Brick owner Corey Canute while Red Brick chef Kevin Peterson, second from right, and Kevin Peterson’s wife, Brooke, pose with them. This week, The News sold the property, once the site of The News’ printing press, to Red Brick, which sits adjacent to the property. Canute said he and Peterson haven’t yet finalized plans for the property, but residents can expect more fun like Red Brick’s Sunday party, which featured outdoor food, drinks, games, and music.
