ALPENA ― A driver went to the hospital with minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash on French Road in Alpena Township on Saturday morning. The driver lost control of his silver pickup truck, veered into a ditch on the side of the road, and hit the low rock wall surrounding a culvert, police reported. The truck launched over an adjacent driveway, landing nose-first in a ditch on the far side. Airbags deployed, and the driver, who was transported to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena, received only minor injuries from the crash, according to police.
