A towing company worker removes a pickup truck that ping-ponged through an intersection and plowed into a business sign Wednesday morning. The truck’s driver was cited by police for failing to yield after he attempted a left turn into the Home Depot parking lot from eastbound M-32 in Alpena. Another vehicle, headed west on M-32, crashed into the pickup, sending it into the front end of a minivan waiting to turn out of the lot. The pickup careened off the minivan, over a curb, and into the sign of a nearby bank, according to police. Nobody was injured in the crash. Firefighters from the Alpena Township Fire Department south side station and officers from the Alpena County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
