May 25
1:23 p.m.: Vienna Fire Dept, Tri Township Fire/EMS and Atlanta DNR Fire responded to a brush fire spread into a swampy area on E Gaylanta Lake Rd. The fire was contained.
May 26
7:32 a.m.: Hillman Fire Dept responded to a power pole on fire on Reider School Rd in Alpena County. PIE&G was contacted.
6:47 p.m.: A resident in Briley Township called to report malicious destruction of property, a Deputy responded; investigation is ongoing.
7:42 p.m.: A Briley Township resident came into the MCSO to report a fraudulent crime; a Deputy took the complaint.
9:30 p.m.: A vehicle deer accident occurred in Albert Township on CO RD 612; all those involved in the crash were not injured. An officer responded to take the report.
May 27
6:28 p.m.: A resident in Albert Township called to report a large amount of smoke coming towards her home; Lewiston Fire department responded; it was found to be a resident burning a brush pile. All responders cleared without incident.
May 28
12:10 p.m.: MSP troopers from Alpena investigated an assault that happened on Klein Rd in Rust Township. A 31 year old male from Hillman was arrested and lodged.
6:23 p.m.: A deputy responded to an assault not in progress between neighbors on Cohoon Rd in Rust Township. The deputy spoke with both parties involved and it is still under investigation.
8:22 p.m.: Dispatched received a call that a subject was cutting a tree down and it fell on the power line causing the power line to fall onto his tractor. Tri Township Fire Dept responded. No one was injured. PIE&G was contacted to repair the power line.
9:46 p.m.: Hillman Fire Dept responded to the smell of gas in a residence on County Rd 459 in Montmorency Township.
10:28 p.m.: DNR officers made a traffic stop after a short chase on McKee Rd. A 33 year old male from Johannesburg was arrested for fleeing and eluding officers and operating while intoxicated. The subject was lodged.
May 29
12:30 p.m.: A 32 year old male from Gaylord was arrested in Otsego County on a MCSO warrant. The subject was picked up and lodged.
12:45 p.m.: While on ORV patrol an officer made a traffic stop at the Sunrise in Lewiston. The 27 year old male driver had a MCSO warrant, he was arrested and lodged.
8:46 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Alexander St in Lewiston for vehicles parking on private property. There is a parking issue at the Country House Ice Cream House.
10:15 p.m.: Deputies responded to a residence on County Rd 624 for ATVs tearing up the roads and driving without headlights on. The riders were located and given a warning.
May 30
12:23 a.m.: DNR officers initiated a traffic stop on Pleasant Valley Rd. A 29 year old male from Hillman was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Subject was lodged.
2:16 a.m.: Deputies and Tri Township Fire/EMS responded to a one vehicle rollover on Decheau Lake Rd. No one was injured. A 27 year old male from Lewiston was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was lodged.
1:15 p.m.: Vienna Fire, Tri Township Fire, Lewiston Fire, Hillman Fire and Atlanta DNR Fire Departments responded to a brush fire that had burned about an acre and is getting close to structures. Upon arrival one structure was on fire. No one was injured.
5:58 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of 4 kids in a golf cart driving in the roadway causing a road hazard for traffic. The kids were located and given a warning to stay out of the roadway.
8:42 p.m.: Officers responded to a residence on Salling Ave in Albert Township for a parking issue near the Country House Ice Cream Shop.
9:50 p.m.: Officers responded to a commercial burglar alarm on Bourne St in Albert Township. A door was open, the officers searched the building and found the building to be secure.
9:54 p.m.: Dispatch was contacted for a bear cub hit by a vehicle and still alive in the middle of County Rd 459. A deputy responded, dispatched the bear cub and waited for a DNR officer to come pick it up.
