DeRocher, who will attend Alpena Community College to play volleyball and basketball, earned all-Big North Conference honors in both sports this season. In basketball, she averaged more than 10 points per game and led Alpena’s volleyball team in kills, blocks and attack percentage. Genova, who was a wrestling star for Alpena, earned first team all-conference honors this season and qualified for the Division 2 state finals at 145 pounds. He also won a district title in his weight class and finished second at regionals.
