Alcona Schools reports four new COVID-19 infections

LINCOLN — Alcona Community Schools officials notified parents Thursday three new staff members who work primarily at the middle and high schools were infected with COVID-19 and one new infection was reported for Alcona High School.
Superintendent Dan O’Connor said in a letter to parents Thursday the district is working with District Health Department No. 2 and the district will notify students and staff who need to quarantine.
O’Connor also encouraged parents to continue to monitor their child or children for the onset of COVID-19 symptoms.
