ALPENA — A multiple-week trial for former Alpena Public Schools teacher Heather Winfield has been rescheduled for June 1-15.

The trial, which will require a jury pool of 200 county residents, will use the same panel of jurors who were sent questionnaires before the most recently scrapped trial dates in October, when the trial was suspended by the arrival of last-minute evidence.

Jury selection is expected to begin June 1 and will be held in a spacious location yet to be announced, according to a hearing in Winfield’s case on Friday in Alpena’s 26th Circuit Court.
