∫ The Alpena County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the contract with the City of Alpena for county-wide ambulance service.

The board also voted to forbid any hunting on county-owned property, other than planned events, and to hire PK Contracting Contract for the Airfield remarking project at the airport.

The commissioners voted to approve the 2021 Youth & Recreation Committee Grant agreements as presented.

The board voted to have Treasurer Kim Ludlow to create a reserve within the Ambulance Fund entitled “Reserve for E911 Central Tower” and to place $55,406 into that reserve, and approved up to spending up to $5,000 combined total for Emergency Management Services and for maintenance for 2020 to purchase additional PPE supplies needed and to authorize payment of the county credit card once the bill has been received.

The commissioners received its annual report from the Michigan State Extension.

∫ The Montmorency County Board of Commissioners voted to accept the equalization department annual apportionment report for 2020.

The commissioners also received their annual report from the Michigan State Extension, and presented the 2021 child care budget.

The board voted to approve a 2% wage increase for all elected officials, union and non-union, and full time employees. Part-time employees will also receive a 2% wage increase.

The board voted to take $350,000 out of the tax revolving fund, and the foreclosure fund and use it to help pay down its unfunded retirement obligation with MERS.

The county also voted to accept the 2021 library budget.
