Rogers City school board president resigns
Rogers City Area Schools Board of Education President Devin Pommerenke on Monday resigned unexpectedly, citing personal reasons.
Pommerenke told trustees it is a significant time of change in education, in the workplace, in government, and in the world.
“I am confident you will meet this change with great stride to continue to exceed expectations,” he said.
The board accepted his resignation and selected Greg Zurakowski as the new board president and Francis Andrews as the new board secretary.
Diane Schultz remains the board’s vice president and Ivy Cook remains board treasurer.
