No one hurt in 2-vehicle smashup on 3rd Ave
ALPENA – No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Mirre Street.
The crash occurred when a vehicle crossed Mirre and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, according to Alpena Police Sgt. Donald Leaym. That vehicle was hit on the south side of the intersection by a second vehicle, a white van. The van’s airbag deployed.
City police were assisted by the Alpena County Sheriff Department, Prell’s Towing Service, and Georgie’s Towing and Wrecker Service.
