Former Alpena schools employee accused of drug lab, possessing child porn

Scott Henning
ALPENA — A man who worked at Alpena Public Schools at the time of his arrest in August for manufacturing hallucinogenic drugs in his Hubbard Lake home is now accused of possessing child pornography.
Scott Michael Henning, 29, was a facilities worker at APS at the time of his arrest for running the drug lab, according to his attorney. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has been fired from APS, although he is currently lodged at the Alpena County Jail.
On Friday, Alpena County Prosecutor Cynthia Muszynski authorized a new warrant for Henning on multiple counts involving child sexual abusive material.
Henning was recently bound over to the 26th Circuit Court on the drug charges.
His arraignment in the 88th District Court on the new child porn charges is expected sometime next week.
No other information was immediately available.
