1 dead, 1 injured at north side home
Police find body in home at Ford, Clark
ALPENA — One person is dead and another was airlifted from Alpena to an out-of-town hospital after a report of shots fired on Alpena’s north side tonight, Alpena Police Chief Joel Jett said.
The Alpena Police Department was dispatched at 7:17 p.m. to the corner of Clark Street and Ford Avenue to a report of shots fired late today, Jett said. At the residence, police found one dead person and another with serious injuries, the Alpena Police Department said in a news release.
The injured subject was transported by ambulance to MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena and then airlifted by helicopter to another facility for treatment, the release said.

No other information was provided and police did not identify the people involved.
Police at the scene had the intersection cordoned off with police tape and patrol vehicles to keep traffic and pedestrians from entering the area as officers assessed the scene.
Officers and troopers had no comment at the scene on what had occurred at the home, or who the victims were. The incident was still under investigation by local law enforcement as of 10:30 p.m. today, and no further information was immediately available.
The Michigan State Police and Alpena County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
