Two more Alpena County residents, one Montmorency County resident infected

ALPENA — District Health Department No. 4 reported on Friday new COVID-19 infections in two residents of Alpena County today. The Health department also reported one new infection in a resident of Montmorency County.
The new Alpena County cases raise the total of residents who have tested positive for the coronavirus to 121 — of whom 105 have recovered — and 14 people who were infected with the disease have died.
In Montmorency County, there have been 13 residents who have tested positive for the coronavirus with 11 recoveries and zero deaths.
There have been 23 Presque Isle County residents confirmed infected, and one county resident died after testing positive, although that resident recovered before dying, according to health officials. In Alcona County, 34 residents have been confirmed infected, and two county residents died after testing positive.
The State of Michigan reported Friday that there were 695 new positive cases in the state, and six deaths.
Statewide there have been 115,387 confirmed cases of COVID-19 that have contributed to 6,638 deaths during the pandemic.
