June 29th

12:22 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of an audible alarm coming from somewhere near the BP in Atlanta. Deputies responded to investigate. They located the alarm and shut it off.

1:30 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a suspicious vehicle on Farrier Rd in Rust Township. A deputy responded and located the vehicle described. All was found to be okay.

12:10 A business owner in Briley Township called to report damage to some items outside her business. An officer responded, it was decided the caller and the subjects that damaged her property would work the situation out among themselves.

4:22 p.m.: Multiple calls came into dispatch referencing drunk and disorderly subjects at the East Twin Lake Beach, one female was arrested and lodged on charges.

11:11 p.m.: A deputy initiated a traffic stop in the Family Fare Parking Lot in Albert Township. A 43-year-old male was taken into custody for OWI. He was lodged.

June 30

7:06 a.m.: Officers were called to a vacation home in Loud Township for a burglar alarm, the home was found to be secure and all units cleared without incident.

10:13 p.m.: A deputy transported a 47-year-old from Presque Isle Co Jail to MCSO jail. She was lodged.

July 1

12:13 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a 2-vehicle collision at Chatter’s Pit Stop in Briley Township. No injuries were reported. A deputy responded to take the report.

2:14 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a domestic dispute in Avery Township. Deputies responded to investigate.

4:24 p.m.: MCSO deputies responded to a 2-vehicle accident on Pleasant Valley Rd near Funk Rd in Hillman Township. Fire and EMS were also dispatched. No injuries were reported.

5:28 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a neighbor dispute in Rust Township. A deputy advised them their issue was civil and would need to be handled in court.

July 2

12:26 p.m.: Dispatch was advised of a private property accident in the Atlanta School parking lot. All the appropriate information was given.

8:03 p.m.: MCSO deputies responded to a domestic dispute on East Shore St in Briley Townships. The parties were separated.

9:53 p.m.: Law enforcement and EMS responded to a report of an ATV that hit a deer on M-33 N near the El-Bo in Montmorency Township. A 45-year-old male was transported to the hospital to be evaluated for his injuries.

July 3

2:45 a.m.: Dispatch was advised of a residential burglar alarm on Co Rd 491 in Vienna Township. Deputies responded to investigate. All was found to be as it should.

5:47 a.m.: A single vehicle rollover in Briley Township was reported, the vehicle broke an electric pole, no injuries were reported. MCSO deputies, Tri Township EMS responded to the scene, no one was transported to the hospital.

7:18 a.m.: A deputy while on routine patrol noticed the alarm going off at the Atlanta Senior Center, he checked the building and it was secure.

9:36 a.m.: An officer on routine patrol came upon a vehicle on the side of the road, he stopped to assist the motorist, all was as it should be, and the officer cleared without incident.

10:12 a.m.: A resident of Albert Township was having an issue with her alarm; an officer responded, reset the alarm and cleared without incident.

10:18 a.m.: A Rust Township resident called to report that his garage sale signs were being removed after he put them out.

10:43 a.m.: A fireman came upon a section of woods on fire in Hillman Township, Hillman Fire and law enforcement responded to the scene. The fire was put out and all cleared without incident.

11:10 a.m.: A daughter called to request a welfare check on her mother who had left her downstate residence yesterday and daughter had not been able to make contact since, an officer went to the seasonal residence to attempt to locate subject, neighbors stated the woman had made it to the residence but was not at the home at this time.

12:36 p.m.: A resident of Briley Township called to report that the ORVs near his residence were driving erratically, DNR officer responded and spoke with the drivers of the ORVs.

3:32 p.m.: A resident of Albert Township called to report his dirt bike was stolen, a report was taken, and this is still under investigation.

5:14 p.m.: While on routine patrol an MCSO deputy came across a motorist with a flat tire, the officer stopped and changed the tire and cleared the scene without incident.

5:40 p.m.: A subject driving down Co Rd 628 came upon a dirt biker rider lying in the road, law enforcement and Tri Township EMS responded to the scene.

7:15 p.m.: A report of 4 wheelers driving through DeCheau Lake Campground at a high rate of speed. MCSO Deputy responded and a verbal warning was given.

8:42 p.m.: A report of erratic driver traveling down CO RD 451 in Hillman Township. Michigan DNR responded; officers were unable to locate vehicle.

8:59 p.m.: A resident in Albert Township called to report a suspicious vehicle/person in their neighborhood. MCSO Deputy responded and was unable to locate the vehicle.

July 4

4:23 a.m.: A report of a suspicious male parked in Freddie’s Parking Employee Lot. MCSO Deputies responded and found two individuals asleep. They had stopped because they were too tired to drive.

4:40 p.m.: A business in Albert Township called to request law enforcement as there was an unhappy customer, MCSO deputies responded to the scene.

6:26 p.m.: A Albert Township resident reported a possible bear cub in their front yard up a tree. Michigan DNR Officer responded.

9:03 p.m.: A report of a transformer and powerline down on Cobb Road in Albert Township. Albert Township Fire and PIE&G responded.

10:15 p.m.: A verbal dispute was reported in Albert Township. Prior to MCSO Deputies arriving all parties left the area.

10:18 p.m.: A neighbor dispute was reported in Albert Township. MSCO Deputies responded; parties were separated and told to have no contact with each other.

11:50 p.m.: Michigan DNR and MCSO Deputies conducted traffic stop on Fleming Rd in Albert Township. Male driver was arrested on OWI and vehicle was towed.

July 5

5:19 p.m.: A call was made reporting power line down on Depot St. Station 2 Fire and PIE&G were dispatched.

5:24 p.m.: While out on patrol a MCSO Deputy came across a tree on a powerline down with the pole broken on Baker Rd. Tree also fell across driveway. Station 2 Fire and PIE&G were dispatched.

9:37 p.m.: MCSO Deputy reported traffic stop near the intersection of CO Rd 487 & 489. One female was taken into custody OWI and lodged at the MCSO Jail.
