Drunken driving leads to pee in police vehicle, cops say

An intoxicated Spruce man damaged police property when stopped by a Michigan State Police trooper for drunken driving, police said.

John Paul Gray Jr., 43, was stopped on U.S.-23 South on July 6. After he was arrested, Gray thrashed and kicked inside the officer’s car, damaging it, and told officers he had urinated in the seat and that they would have to clean it up.

He was lodged in the Alpena County Jail for malicious destruction of police property, operating while intoxicated second offense, driving while license suspended, and resisting and obstructing police, the State Police said in a press release.
