No new infections reported

ALPENA — No new coronavirus infections were reported today by local health departments serving Alpena, Alcona, Montmorency, and Presque Isle counties, but three more Alpena County residents had recovered from their infections.

That brings the total number of recovered Northeast Michigan residents to 97, including 79 Alpena County residents, 11 Presque Isle County residents, five Montmorency County residents, and two Alcona County residents.

The number of infections among regional residents remained at 129 on Thursday, with 96 Alpena County residents, 17 Alcona County residents, 11 Presque Isle County residents, and five Montmorency County residents infected since mid-March.

A total of 10 people died while infected with the coronavirus, nine of whom were residents of Alpena County and one a resident of Alcona County.

Statewide, 206 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported and 25 people died while infected with the virus, bringing the total number of cases statewide to 58,241 and the total number of deaths to 5,595.
